Primrose Creek is the stream that is encountered when approaching Phillips Mill from the New Hope direction. The creek originates in the vicinity of Solebury Village and converges with the Delaware River near Phillips Mill. Primrose Creek has been painted by many artists and has been part of local history. This hamlet was the site of a large mill powered by Primrose Creek during the colonial period. Primrose Creek is important not only due to its historical and artistic value but also because it sustains life in this watershed area. Every house in the Primrose Creek Watershed depends upon this creek as a water source. Wetlands, fish life, birds, grasses, riparian trees, and wetland wild flowers and any other variety of life depend upon the Primrose Creek.
